L-CASHE - Project Description

The current proposal focuses on the implementation of a low-code platform for the development, evaluation and monitoring of IoT and CPS applications. In this context, textual and graphical representations will be explored for the implementation of Domain-specific Languages (DSLs), while also proper code generators will be delivered, which will enable transformations of input description models to output source code.

The platform will support state-of-the-art open-source robotics and (smart) home automation tools, such as HomeAssistant and ROS. This way, the proposed DSL will be able to bind to already existing infrastructures built on top of HomeAssistant, while also allowing integration of ROS-enabled robots in smart environments.

Finally, a number of scenarios will be implemented by a team of the host organisation, to evaluate usability and productivity of low-code programming for smart environments.
