2nd FTTE winners welcome meeting – Preview

On December 2nd, 2021, SMART4ALL welcomed all 4 winners of the 2nd FTTE Open Call in an online meeting, led by BTU and Florian Fricke, the Head of the mentoring committee, who gave a detailed presentation of the organizational structure of the project, the coaches assignment, ethics requirements and guidelines, administrative information and formalities, as well as the reporting framework.

At the beginning of the meeting, representatives from the 2nd FTTE selected experiments had the opportunity to briefly present their ideas, expectations and future steps for project execution, while they were informed about the coaches and mentors that will help them during their experiments in technical and business issues.

  • Giuseppe Tortora and Marko Munih presented the EOSystem project, a collaboration between an Italian industrial partner and a Slovenian university
  • Maurangelo Petruzzella and Vlasios Tsezos gave an overview of the MilkTrack project, proposed by two industrial partners based in the Netherlands and Greece
  • Tamas Kerekes, offered a presentation of POP-LEC, a project to be executed by an Italian and a Hungarian company
  • Christos Alexakos and Nikola Cmiljanic, gave an overview of the TempSens project conducted by a Montenegrin company and a Greek R&D institute

The floor was also given to Christos Antonopoulos, technical manager of SMART4ALL, who introduced the FTTE winners to SMART4ALL Marketplace emphasizing on their obligation to provide artefacts as a contribution to this novel one-stop-smart-shop, and to Katerina Lamprakopoulou, SMART4ALL communication officer, who gave the main communication guidelines for delivering material showcasing the projects’ results and supporting the experiments’ sustainability.

The aim of the meeting was not only to offer the FTTE winners all the necessary information for the orderly execution of their experiments, but also to foster collaboration and encourage a fertile exchange of ideas and good practices.

The virtual meeting proved to be a fruitful warm-up opportunity for all projects, which officially started on 1st of December.
