It is with heavy hearts that SMART4ALL family announces the passing of our dear friend, colleague and scientist, Prof. Zoran Mitrovic.
Zoran was a full professor at the Faculty of Technical Science – University of Novi Sad (FTN) for the last seven years, while he held the manager position of the Centre for metrology of the FTN.
Thanks to his wide range of expertise from embedded systems development and construction up to complex projects in power, oil, water and sewage and other industries and to his experience in jobs related to technical protection of buildings and spaces, microprocessor systems for measurement, regulation, remote monitoring and command, our dear Zoran offered significant contribution to technology and science from different high-profile positions. In specific, he was the president of the Society of Metrologists of Serbia and Technical expert of the Serbian Accreditation Body, as well as deputy of Serbia to the IMEKO general assembly.
As member of SMART4ALL consortium, Zoran was an invaluable member of the Digitized Agriculture Task Force who significantly contributed to the progress of its activities, always eager to offer his insights, his support to knowledge transfer initiatives and networking among stakeholders.
Zoran, we will long remember you as a positive person and brilliant partner. Rest in peace, dear friend.
